At Sienna’s Rose we believe it is important to celebrate, express and identify the key roles women play in this modern world. By helping to identify and increase the visibility of women’s achievements, it can help to forge equality and have a positive impact for change for women.
As a business we are two thirds woman owned. Therefore, we #ChooseToChallenge women’s roles and responsibilities in business.
The are many key female figures in UK business, from Karren Brady and Deborah Meaden to the many small, to medium sized female business owners in our market place and beyond. It is essential that the younger generation have these role models to look up to. A day like today is, therefore, fundamental to showcase women’s achievements to highlight what options are available to our daughters.
Sienna’s Rose is new to the online world. Originally conceived and built by the Owner and Lead Practitioner, Nikki, the business has a long standing in the offline world. Hair, Health and Beauty being passions of hers since a young age.
A single mum to two (now) teenage children, Nikki has always been incredibly self-sufficient and dug deep during the hardest of times to provide for her family. Specialising in Hair and Beauty, Nikki has worked for some top Stylist including Charles Worthington and Harvey Nichols. Her own Hair and Beauty business was predominantly a side income over the years, but things changed as the kids grew older and their dependencies changed.
Nikki now has a beautiful Home Salon and can cater for all thing’s health and beauty, from Hair Styling, to Eyelash extensions and more. She is also a fully qualified Pure Cyro Body Sculpting technician and offers a complete range of non-invasive treatments such as laser lipo, ultrasonic cavitation and RF skin tightening.
Over the last 5 years or so, Nikki’s interests have broadened into alternative medicine and aromatherapy.
The onset of Covid-19 and the subsequent national lockdowns and restrictions have made the last year a difficult time for all. The effect has however, been felt the hardest by those who work for themselves / have their own businesses which cannot operate during these times. The Hair and Beauty industry being one of those industries.
Not one to take things laying down, Nikki, her brother and his girlfriend decided it was essential to future-proof Nikki’s business and income. Throughout the lockdowns and restrictions of 2020, a great deal of time was spend researching and developing the online business model for Sienna’s Rose.
Utilising the knowledge and expertise of all 3 people, Sienna’s Rose introduced a new range of Vegan Soy Wax Candles to the world at the start of 2021.
There are plans for further growth regarding product lines and company development, but we believe that this story is testament to the strength and resilience of an incredible woman. Supported no less by her children, and close family and friends.
