Neroli Oil

Neroli is a precious botanical oil derived from the hand-picked flowers of the `Citrus Aurantium` which is a bitter orange tree. An evergreen tree with fragrant white flowers native to the far east especially America and the tropical parts of Asia. The name Neroli comes from Nerola, Italy. The bitter orange oil was brough to Italy from Asia and was used by the Princess of Nerola as a Perfume.

Neroli oil can be dark yellow or browny orange in colour with a fresh, floral scent and a rich but sweet undertone. The oil is cold pressed by hand or by pressing machine.

Within aromatherapy Neroli oil can be used for its many healing properties: anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, carminative, sedative. Neroli oil is used as a natural remedy to anxiety, depression, shock, panic and hysteria. It can also be used to reduce inflammation to sensitise pain, lower blood pressure, repair and rejuvenate skin. Also used to treat PMS and improve the symptoms of menopause.

Mandarin Oil – Citrus Reticulata

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil is an essential oil derived from the Lavender Plant. The whole plant is highly aromatic and originally indigenous to the Mediterranean, but now it’s cultivated all over the world.

There are many different types of lavender and lavender oil has many healing properties, to name a few: analgesic, antirheumatic, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, antitoxic, carminative, hypotensive, insecticide, sedative, parasiticide, stimulant tonic.

The essential oil is great for the skin, healing circulation, and soothing muscles and joints. It also has positive effects on the respiratory, nervous, and immune systems too. Lavender oil can be found in antiseptic cream, perfumes, soaps and the list goes on.

Typically, Lavender oil is often colourless or pale yellow, with a sweet, floral, balsamic woody scent. It blends well with most oils and is widely use.

Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil is derived from an evergreen shrub with needle shaped leaves, and pale blue flowers. The whole plant is strongly aromatic and is native to the Mediterranean however, it’s now cultivated worldwide.

The Rosemary plant is one of the earliest plants to be used in food and medicine. Within aromatherapy, Rosemary oil is analgesic, antioxidant, antirheumatic, antispasmodic, carminative tonic, and can be use as a stimulant.
