Sanctuary is a hand poured, vegan soy wax candle with a soothing and mood-enhancing aroma. Sanctuary will provide you with a sweet, warm and balanced fragrance that will allow you to create a haven in which to unwind and elevate your mood.
A natural, vegan vegetable wax candle made from ingredients that are carefully and ethically sourced. This 300ml soy candle has burn time of approximately 50 hours.
Infused with Orange, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and Neroli oils, this invigorating soy candle has a purifying and soothing fragrance. Within aromatherapy, each of the oils in this hand poured soy wax candle have many individual healing properties. When combined, these oils help to relieve stress, anxiety and depression. Allowing for full relaxation to help harmonise and uplift your mood.
Orange Oil
Sweet orange oil comes from the fruits of the citrus sinensis botanical tree – an evergreen tree native to China. A yellowy-orange or dark orange liquid, orange oil has a sweet, fresh fruity scent.
Orange oil is a great stimulant with strength and resilience. It naturally enhances immunity, but has many other healing properties.
Within aromatherapy, orange oil can be used for the healing of respiratory bronchitis, chills, cold and flu. As well as treating nervous tension, chronic stress and fatigue with its relaxing, calming, cheerful and uplifting notes.
Patchouli Oil
Patchouli oil is derived from the leaves of the Patchouli plant – a perennial bushy plant with white flowers, native to tropical Asia. Patchouli oil is believed to have received its name from the Hindi word “Pacholi” meaning the “Scent”. The oil is amber or dark orange in colour with a sweet, rich, warm and musky scent.
In the 1800’s the scent of patchouli was used to protect Eastern fabrics like silk. Today within aromatherapy, Patchouli oil is known to be antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, digestive, stimulant, anti-inflammatory.
The calming scent of the oil relieves anxiety, stress and depression, effective for full relaxation. Patchouli oils is grounding, balancing and mood-harmonizing.
Ylang Ylang Oil
Ylang ylang oil comes from the flower of ‘Cananga adorate’, derived from a tall tropical tree native to tropical Asia. The oil is pale yellow in colour with an intensely sweet, floral slightly spicy scent. Ylang ylang is used extensively in fragrance industry.
Within aromatherapy Ylang Ylang oil has health benefits: aphrodisiac, antidepressant, anti-infectious, antiseptic, euphoric sedative (nervous), stimulant (circulatory), tonic. Ylang ylang oil has been found to boost moods, reduce depression, alleviate anxiety, lower blood pressure, decrease heart rate.
Neroli Oil
Nerolis a precious botanical oil derived from the hand-picked flowers of the `Citrus Aurantium` which is a bitter orange tree. An evergreen tree with fragrant white flowers native to the far east especially America and the tropical parts of Asia. The name Neroli comes from Nerola, Italy. The bitter orange oil was brough to Italy from Asia and was used by the Princess of Nerola as a Perfume.
Neroli oil can be dark yellow or browny orange in colour with a fresh, floral scent and a rich but sweet undertone. The oil is cold pressed by hand or by pressing machine.
Within aromatherapy Neroli oil can be used for its many healing properties: anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, carminative, sedative. Neroli oil is used as a natural remedy to anxiety, depression, shock, panic and hysteria. It can also be used to reduce inflammation to sensitise pain, lower blood pressure, repair and rejuvenate skin. Also used to treat PMS and improve the symptoms of menopause.
