New to Sienna’s Rose – RF Skin Tightening
RF Skin Tightening uses high frequency waves of energy to selectively heat the sum-dermal connective tissues (collagen protein fibres).
What is RF Skin Tightening?
A treatment head with three or more poles is used which emits the RF waves. This works by heating up the skin to approximately 42 degrees, targeting the are directly beneath the treatment head to a depth of 8mm. This process triggers three specific reactions:
- Existing collagen tissues shrink, providing immediate tightening and plumping effect.
- Old fibrous collagen is broken down by the body.
- The cells that create collagen and stimulated to produce new, fresh and supple collagen – this process is known as Fibroblasts.
RF Skin Tightening is great for targeting loose skin due to weight loss, or ageing skin and wrinkles.
What to expect?
A cooling gel is applied to the treatment area and the multi-polar treatment head starts to emit the radio frequency, delivering a tighter skin feeling immediately.
Over a period of 3 – 6 months, the volume of collagen increases in a more organised structure. This reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, whilst also providing tighter, plumper, firmer feeling skin.
The effects of RF Skin Tightening should last up to 2 years, whereas treatment sessions every 6 to 9 months can prolong this effect.
RF Skin Tightening is also used as part of a combined treatment protocol to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The process is pain-free, although some may feel a slight warming sensation, but no discomfort.
At Sienna’s Rose, we recommend a treatment schedule of 4 to 6 sessions every two to three weeks.
